Ālochanā– The Dawn to Inner Rejuvenation! Samvatsari is the most important day of the Year as it marks the end of an era. It welcomes a new era with a new sun giving rise to new thoughts, goals, a new awakening filled with the freshness of love, compassion, joy, peace and humanity. It is popularly known as the Kshamāpanā Divas (forgiveness) and this day is marked as a day of Ahimsā (Nonviolence). Worldly life is filled with sinful acts at every step, but to erase these we have to seek the lotus feet of Parmatma or Guru. It is the opportunity to erase the Paap (inauspicious karmas) - by, confessing, repenting and apologizing for the same. When we wear clothes they become dirty and have to be washed and cleaned of the dirt and stains. Similarly our souls are stained with the imprints not only of this present birth but of the many past births. In our journey from one birth to another we have accumulated so many inauspicious karmas, that our true pure nature of the soul has been engulfed in them and forgotten. There is no place in the world where we have not taken birth. There is no person in the world with whom we have not been acquainted with or you may not have had a relation with. This precious human birth is attained after travelling through a journey of 84 lakh species of the world. Where there is connection there is reaction, no connection no action! On this Maha Samvatsari Day let us open our hearts and confess to Parmatma for all our evils through the process of Ālochanā (asking forgiveness): Parasdham Mumbai Paryushan 2013 Time Duration : 1:36:49
