How can I create my podcast?
Just register and then sign in and create as many podcasts as you like. Then upload your media files either from your device or by entering a url. Then, an MP3 audio file is generated. By moving the file to a podcast, you create a new podcast episode. Yes, it's that simple!
I want my private podcast. Can I do that?
By all means! You can always set your podcast visibility either to public or unlisted. Public podcasts are listed on your user homepage whereas unlisted ones are accessible only to those who know the url.
I do not have any podcast app in my smartphone. Can I still listen to a podcast?
There are plenty of podcast apps across all devices and operating systems. Check out the apps below and take your pick!
Is my private data safe?
Yes. We do not provide access to your data to 3rd parties. Your data is stored at our server temporarily (for about 3 days) for free plan accounts. If your podcast is private, it is not listed anywhere and the podcast generated URL is very difficult to guess. It's up to you, if you share it with someone or not. We are also planning to add encrypted storage for your data.
What is a podcast?
Podcasting is a form of audio broadcasting on the Internet. A Podcast is a digital medium that consists of an episodic series of audio or digital radio, subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device. The word is a neologism and portmanteau derived from "broadcast" and "pod" from the success of the iPod, as audio podcasts are often listened to on portable media players. Read more on Wikipedia.
What audio and video formats do you support?
We support hundreds of formats (to name a few: mp4, mp3, mpeg, wav, ogg, wmv, flac, mp2, mpeg). Just upload your media file and it will work :) Besides that, Audeliver can also import media files from YouTube, Vimeo and many other video servers!
How can I get audio data into my smartphone using Audeliver.com?
- You need to sign in. If you don't have an account, register!
- Create your podcast.
- Upload your files. When they are processed, move them to your podcast.
- Subscribe to your podcast feed from your smartphone app and start listening to the audio files ;)
How can I quickly set my Audeliver feed in my mobile device?
Just make a snapshot of a QR-code on your podcast website. You should be automatically redirected to your podcast app. Another approach is to open a screen for adding a new RSS or Podcast XML (it differs for each podcast app). Next, retype or copy & paste your podcast url there. Then just resync your podcast to download all data you have in your podcast.
What happens to my data when they are uploaded on Audeliver.com?
Your data is converted into mp3 with a constant bitrate to allow correct playback across all mobile devices. The mp3 file is accessible through a hashed URL.
When your podcast app (in your mobile device) synchronizes the feed, it can download your data from Audeliver.com into your mobile device. This depends on settings of your podcast app. The data on Audeliver server are automatically deleted in 3 days (for a free account). If you have a paid account, you get a limited storage on our server. You can also delete the data yourself. Once the data is downloaded into your mobile device, they are no longer needed at Audeliver.com.
Can I quickly edit a media title?
Use Ctrl + click or double-click on the title and then change it to whatever you want.
How many podcast feeds may I have?
When register, you have one podcast feed by default. Currently, you can create any number of feeds during our beta release.
Is there any Audeliver browser extension?
Yes, there is Audeliver Google Chrome extension. It makes it easier for you to create new podcasts and to quickly add new recordings on several websites.
